Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Goa
Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) is an autonomous premier engineering and technology university located in Goa. The new Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) at Goa started functioning from July, 2016 in a temporary campus housed at Goa Engineering College (GEC) Campus located at Farmagudi, Goa. Currently, it is offering B.Tech courses in three core branches namely Electrical, Computer Science and Mechanical.
IIT Goa will strive to become a unique institution of higher learning, offering state of the art education, research, and training in science and technology to have impact on society, environment and global challenges.
Mission of IIT Goa
The mission of IIT Goa is to impart knowledge and provide unique learning experience to prepare students to be responsible leaders, managers, entrepreneurs, and professionals who will play a leading role in the sustainable development of Goa and the nation as a whole.
The learning experience will reflect the human values of the state-diversity and inclusion. In the short term, IIT Goa will have a strong focus on quality education and advanced multidisciplinary programs, and in the long term, it will progress towards a self-sustaining institute.

The IIT Goa conducts admission procedures twice a year i.e., after each semester in an academic year. The eligible aspirants go through a written exam test or interview in order to get selected for any PhD. programme.
